RCD load is a kind of nonlinear analog load, which can be used to test the power generation unit of data center, UPS and other power supply equipment, to understand the real working ability of the nonlinear load such as computer and network equipment. Through accurate detection of power output and quality of power supply, it can avoid driving load or pollution to power grid in actual use, so as to ensure the safety of power supply.
With the development of digitalization and networking in modern society, rectifying loads such as computers and network devices are widely used. The load composed of rectifier and filter circuit has nonlinear characteristics, and its resistance is not constant. It has higher requirements for the output range and stability of the power supply equipment. Therefore, for the data center backup generator, network power supply UPS and other power supply equipment, the analog load with nonlinear characteristics must be used to test the peak factor and other parameters.
However, the traditional RLC analog load is based on the linear load, which can not simulate the change characteristics of the nonlinear load, and it is difficult to test the actual performance of the starting power unit, the UPS in the data center and the network power environment. Only by using RCD nonlinear load can we make the most accurate judgement of the output power and power quality of the power supply equipment. At present, there are still no mature technical specifications and application cases in this field.
